Our Pledge
A Clear Definition for a Vague Word
At Baller Generation, we recognise that the term "sustainable" is often used without clear meaning. In line with the UK's CMA Green Claims Code, we define our commitment to sustainability through specific, verifiable, and evidence-based standards that cover the planet, its people, and our customers.
When we use the word "sustainable," we refer directly to the combined effects of the following commitments and third-party verifications:
1. Material Integrity: Certified Organic Fibre
- Our Claim: Every garment advertised with this standard is made from 100% Organic Cotton.
- The Benefit: This guarantees the raw material is grown without the use of toxic pesticides, synthetic fertilisers, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). This protects farmer health, maintains soil fertility, and prevents contamination of local water sources.
2. Ethical and Environmental Processing: The GOTS Standard
- We do not simply buy organic cotton; we ensure the integrity of the fibre throughout the entire manufacturing process.
- The fabric used in our collection is processed by a facility certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
- What this means: GOTS mandates stringent environmental requirements (e.g., responsible water use and chemical management) and guarantees social criteria are met (e.g., fair wages and safe working conditions) at all stages of production. This certification confirms that the journey from raw fibre to dyed fabric is held to the highest ethical and ecological bar.
3. Customer Safety: OEKO-TEX® Chemical Testing
- While GOTS covers the supply chain, the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification focuses on the final product you receive.
- What this means: Our garments have been tested against a comprehensive list of known harmful substances. This ensures the finished product—including the fabric, threads, and printing—is entirely safe for human contact.
4. No Animal Products: PETA-Approved Vegan
- Our commitment extends to animal welfare. Every item in this collection is PETA-Approved Vegan.
- What this means: This guarantees that no animal-derived ingredients (such as leather, silk, or certain dyes) are used in the creation of the garment.
Our Pledge of Transparency
We believe you deserve to know precisely where your clothes come from and how they are made.
- All claims are substantiated by valid third-party documentation (including GOTS Transaction Certificates and OEKO-TEX reports), which we hold on file.
- For your verification, we provide the public Licence and Certificate Numbers for each product directly on its dedicated product page.
- We reserve the right to withhold the names of our specific manufacturing partners to protect the commercial confidentiality of our proprietary supply chain. This is in line with standard business practice, but we guarantee that all partners are fully compliant and certified.
